Vetiver

Vetiver is a perennial clump grass native to northern India and tropical Asia. It is also known as Khus. The plant can reach heights of 5 feet, although Vetiver essential oil preparation utilizes the plant's roots. Vetiver oil is a golden to dark brown color with a bold earthy and smoky aroma, often with herbaceous, woody, spicy notes.
